First opened in 1914, the historic 13-story Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane reopened in July 2002 after a $30 million renovation. Spokane's only AAA four diamond awarded hotel is centrally located in the heart of the downtown arts, business and shopping districts. Chandeliers, stained glass, and ornate woodwork create a stylish setting for three restaurants and a European- style spa. The Davenport also features a state-of-the- art fitness facility with a lap pool and whirlpool spa. The Davenport offers a total of 283 spacious guest rooms, including 24 suites, featuring amenities unlike any other hotel in the region - hand-carved mahogany furniture, imported Irish linens, coffered ceilings with crown molding 27" flat-screen TVs, three phones, spacious crosscut Travertine marble showers and bathrooms. High-speed Internet access is complimentary. Parlor Suites are located on floors four through twelve of the Hotel with large picture windows on two sides, providing sweeping views of the city. These rooms measure approximately 670 square feet and are available with one king bed. Parlor Suites bathrooms offer an extra large walk-in marble shower as well as a separate deep European-style soaking tub. Driving directions from Spokane International Airport: Follow the signs to I-90 E and continue to the Lincoln St exit (#280A). Turn left onto S Lincoln St. Continue about three blocks and turn right onto W First Ave. The hotel is on the left, and self-parking is available in the garage on the right. For valet parking, turn left onto S Post St.
