Location. Governor Hotel is three blocks from the State Capitol Campus. St. Martin’s University and the Evergreen State College are within two miles.

Expert Tip. Capitol Lake was formed by a dam where the freshwater of Deschutes River empties into the saltwater of Budd Inlet. Starting in August, thousands of salmon swim upstream. The lake area offers boating, bicycling, running trails, playgrounds and picnic table year round.
